GLEE @ The EMMY AWARDS

Glee has always been an influential show to me. Glee is a show that Represents different students coming from different backgrounds, Social surroundings, age, sex, race, and religion. This Show is a chance to let people know its ok to “BE YOURSELf” When I was watching the EMMY Awards this past Sunday night it brought a whole new light to my about the impact they have on others. If you go to the YouTube I’ve posted on this post and read some of the comments written about their opening act and watch the video maybe they will have an impact on you as well.

I wasn’t able to watch the Emmy awards this year so I wasn’t aware that Glee had even done a skit at the Emmy’s. While watching this clip from the Emmy’s I couldn’t stop laughing. I personally love anything that Jimmy Falon does, and Glee is one of my favorite shows on television right now. The last person that I would have ever expected to be in this skit was Kate Goselin, but I must say that she held her own and didn’t get overshadowed by any of the other celebrities. I plan on going on-line to watch more of what happend at this year’s Emmy Awards. I cannot wait to see what the new season of Glee has in store either 🙂

I was in chorus and other choirs all the way through my senior year of high school. I love musical theatre performing and watching it. However, I have still not gotten into “Glee.” I have seen the show a few times, but it usually airs when I am busy. I thought the YouTube clip of the actors’ performance from the Emmy’s presentation was funny. They incorporated actors and even reality TV stars. I loved it when they ignored Kate when she said she could dance. I also liked how Tim Gunn fixed his outfit. I think I will need to make some time to see the new season.

In a word, WOW is how i would describe that video. I have never watched an entire episode of Glee, but I did have a friend last year audition for a part on the show and I watched a few scenes of some episodes with her. The show is very busy, and theres always a lot going on in the storyline so for someone like me who isnt going to sit down and tune in every week its complicated. But I will admit that the music has been amazing everytime i’ve watched it. Even if the music isn’t a song that I would put on my iPod, its always something that I can at least tap my toes to and enjoy for the moment. Tina Fey and Randy Jackson with the cameos made this video legit. In all honesty I dont see myself blocking off my work schedule to see the new episodes, but if I happen to be at home I just may watch an episode or two this season.
